		<description>After reading the article, I'm still left with the impression that the net still means that the writers in the world still have to struggle to make a living at writing.  Not many writers make a living at it in the print world.  Now, with the internet, we've expanded the number of writers, but not the percentage who make a living at it.

But at least with the net, they don't have to worry about their book being put in the slush pile at a publishing house...the slush pile becomes a dotcom.
